Google's Gemini 4 Argon is now available in Gemini, AI Studio, AI mode in Search, and more
Google has officially launched Gemini 4 Argon, two weeks after its first introduction, making the advanced AI model globally available for developers and enterprises. The new model is accessible via API through Google AI Studio and the Gemini platform, with premium subscribers gaining access through the Gemini app, AI Mode in Search, and Google Antigravity. Argon represents Google's latest effort to push the boundaries of AI capability in specialized professional domains including coding, finance, legal, cybersecurity, and scientific research.
The model distinguishes itself through its performance on industry benchmarks, ranking first on the Vals Index, a measure of model performance across critical economic sectors. According to Google, Argon scored an impressive 87% on the Embodied Reasoning (ERQA) benchmark, demonstrating superior ability to understand and solve physical, spatial problems in 3D environments. The company highlights several demonstration use cases, from autonomously driving Blender to create complex 3D scenes to processing approximately 50 GB of diverse data, including Airborne LiDAR scans and Library of Congress CAD drawings, to reconstruct archaeological heritage sites like Chaco Canyon.
Looking ahead, Google indicates this pricing structure will take effect after the introductory period concludes on November 30, 2026: $4 per 1 million input tokens and $20 per 1 million output tokens for the publicly accessible Argon model. The company describes Gemini 4 Argon as merely the beginning, teasing the remainder of the Gemini 4 family to follow. Early access enterprise customers and startups report “strong wins” with the model, particularly in deep multimodal document comprehension and longitudinal data analysis workflows.
