Apple Music and Apple One subscription prices rise due to licensing costs

Apple has raised Apple Music subscription prices in the United States and several other countries, citing rising music licensing costs. The Individual plan now costs $11.99 per month, up by $1, while the Student plan has increased to $6.99. The Family plan received the largest increase, rising by $3 to $19.99 per month.

Several Apple One bundles have also become more expensive. Apple One Family now costs $27.95 per month, while Premier has increased to $39.95, with both plans rising by $2. Apple One Individual remains unchanged at $19.95. The company has not identified which licensing agreements or rights holders contributed to the higher costs.

This is Apple Music’s first price increase since October 2022. Despite the new rates, the service remains cheaper than Spotify, which also raised subscription prices earlier this year.
