Physical CD aren't protected and pretty much meant to be ripped on your machine.
I don't recommand buying on Amazon. But if you buy physical music (CD, Vinyl and maybe cassette) on Amazon. They give you a free high quality RIP to download on Amazon Music, honestly that's nice.
