ONLYOFFICE Workspace 12.8.0 adds Apple, Visio, and Hancom file support

ONLYOFFICE has released Workspace 12.8.0, an update focused on broader file compatibility and stability improvements. The main change is expanded support for Apple formats, allowing users to open and collaborate on Pages, Numbers, and Keynote documents across macOS, Windows, and Linux environments.

The release also adds support for Markdown, TSV, Microsoft Visio formats such as VSDX, VSSX, VSTX, VSDM, VSSM, and VSTM, and Hancom Office files including HWP, HWPX, and HML. Presentation files can now be converted directly to TXT for easier text extraction, while new language templates have been added for Albanian, Catalan, Czech, Danish, Hungarian, Indonesian, Romanian, and Urdu.

The update also includes security and administration fixes, such as updates to vulnerable prerequisites and the .NET runtime, fixes for .xml file transfer issues involving XSS risks, SSL configuration corrections, and better handling of CentOS and RHEL dependencies.
