ClickUp launches Brain MAX, a new unified AI assistant and cross-app automation app
ClickUp has introduced Brain MAX, a new desktop AI productivity assistant now available on Windows and macOS. This standalone app allows users to centralize file search, create tasks, and perform AI-powered actions across work applications from a single interface. Users can search, generate content, and trigger actions by connecting platforms like Google Drive, GitHub, Notion, Microsoft OneDrive, Microsoft SharePoint, and ClickUp, enabling unified search and automation.
Brain MAX accepts both text prompts and voice commands, turning spoken or typed input into tasks, emails, summaries, and more. Its voice-first and keyboard-friendly design adapts to a variety of work styles. Unlike assistants that depend on one model, Brain MAX integrates multiple leading large language models including GPT-4.1, Claude Sonnet 4, DeepSeek and Gemini 2.5 Pro, allowing users to select the model best suited for each outcome.
Leveraging ClickUp’s work graph, the assistant gives context-aware AI responses using data from your projects, documents, and workflows. Beyond content generation, automation features let users ask Brain MAX to take action across different tools to reduce fragmentation and manual handoffs. The app is designed for teams and enterprises, with enterprise-grade integrations and flexibility. Brain MAX is available free for ClickUp's subscribers during its introductory phase, and a mobile version is currently in development.

The way I interpret this, it isn't Freemium. They have trialware that they try to pass off as freemium.
