Microsoft is rolling out Copilot Vision on Windows 10/11 for AI visual analysis in the US

Microsoft is officially rolling out Copilot Vision, its latest AI capability for Microsoft Copilot on Windows 10 and Windows 11, now available without charge to users in the United States. Previously tested with Copilot Pro subscribers on a limited set of websites, Copilot Vision now lets users select up to two app windows or screens for AI-driven visual analysis directly from the Copilot Windows app. This removes the need for a paid subscription and extends access to all Windows 10 and 11 users in the US.

Unlike its initial beta, which focused on Microsoft Edge web pages and required manual activation, Copilot Vision's latest release works with any visible content on the desktop. Users simply open the Copilot app, select the glasses icon in the composer window, and choose which apps or windows they want analyzed. The assistant then reviews the shared content, answering questions or providing insights to support navigation or task completion. Content sharing can be disabled at any time via the Stop or X button in the prompt.

Alongside Copilot Vision, Microsoft has introduced a Highlights feature for step-by-step in-app guidance. The rollout follows Microsoft’s more cautious approach after the controversial launch of the Windows Recall feature, which drew privacy concerns. Microsoft confirmed the feature will gradually expand to users outside the US, excluding European countries for now.
