Microsoft Office is now available on the Mac App Store
After a long period of availability on macOS, Microsoft's Office suite is finally available for download from Apple's Mac App Store.
Previously, Microsoft 365 Copilot was only available on macOS via downloading directly from Microsoft's website. This shift lowers the barrier to entry for more casual computer users that only download and install new applications from the Mac App Store and not from other online sources.
Pricing for Microsoft Office remains the same as before its App Store debut, with the personal edition costing $70 USD a year being good for a single user, with the $100 USD a year home edition covering up to six users. Microsoft 365 on the App Store includes the following apps:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Microsoft Outlook
- Microsoft OneNote
- Microsoft OneDrive
