Google has revealed the final name for the latest version of Android. Version 9.0 of the mobile operating system is officially named "Pie." In addition to the name, the operating system itself is now available on the company's Pixel line of phones.
Android Pie utilizes machine learning for its "Adaptive Battery" and "Adaptive Brightness" features. These features, alongside improvements to navigation, app switching, and a "Digital Wellbeing" toolset that shows how long users are using apps, are all detailed on the operating system's official website.
According to VentureBeat, Android Pie is slated for other devices produced by Essential Nokia, OnePlus, Oppo, Sony Xperia, and Vivo, and Xiaomi by the "end of this fall." The OS will not be released for Nexus devices.
