Reviewed Signal-FOSS★★★★★Awesome underdog project! Signal should make this on their own. It adds a few basic patches on top of Signal, either fully or mostly automatic, so you get very fast updates and no proprietary Google blobs! Just works, nothing fancy. Molly has way slower updated while theoretically being nicer

fantastic piece of software! when getting subtitles from opensubtitles.com etc, they are often for a wrong framerate, another cut or just badly made by hand. This tool is technically overkill for fixing FPS, but it works for that! It works really well for aligning one .srt file to a reference file, which you can easily extract from a video using ffmpeg. Fast, efficient, just works.

Also important to note: unlike most other Players, Voice ALWAYS shows chapters, no matter if .opus .mp3 .m4b or even separate audio files. It basically just plays everything, amazing.
Reviewed Vanadium★★★★★Vanadium is a very secure Webview and Browser, focused on Security. It is a hardened Version of Chromium and also provides the WebView used by apps for displaying web content. Vanadium "just works" for most sites, so while it is currently not the most privacy focused, it is a good addition to Ironfox. It can be updated seperately via the Appstore. Use Cromite on other Androids as Vanadium might cause bugs that are not fixed outside of GrapheneOS.

Its use case is to download Android apps directly from the official releases, instead of from F-Droid for example.
You can share your sources via a backup, making adding them less painful.
You can use the F-Droid source links for most apps, or even search for them.
Github, Codeberg, Gitlab and more work without a problem, some have trouble. Also the Developers dont always supply precompiles APKs so you may need F-Droid

Reviewed WayDroid★★★★★Its now fully graphically installable. It runs as a systemd service, so a bit unconventional, its always running. But it is just a container and not an Emulator, so that is no problem. Apps integrate into the Desktop really well, you can run any apps just like native ones!
Actually Waydroid was my reason to try Wayland and its really great!

On Desktop (all Operating systems supported!) it is also a really nice player, supporting .mkv files with multiple Audio tracks and subtitles (the stuff you get from Torrents)

Reviewed Betterbird★★★★★Never going back. People use Outlook or even browser based Mail clients all the time, not caring that all their messages are stored online in plain text.
With Thunderbird / Betterbird you can have all of them offline, use PGP to encrypt them, and minimize tracking. You can block tracking images (they load in messages and sites know that you looked at them) and have way more good features.
