Linux first, but also supports Windows. Regularly updated - unlike most software in this category.

Does one thing and does it well. If you don't really need all the bells of NextCloud and don't mind paying for a lifetime license, you might like this software.

The only successor to Hirens Boot CD that is solid and actively maintained.

Slightly easier to use than Devilbox. Both Lando and Devilbox do not have a GUI, so need learn couple of commands. Both based on Docker and both great for local development.

Great cleaner for all systems without any ads, bloatware, upsell or any other nonsense.

Best matrix client moves forward fast so some negative reviews here shouldn't be considered.

  • Mailtrain icon

Free & open-source, simple to use. The only drawback is you have to know your way around servers to install it.

  • Fider icon

In its core, it does the same thing as similar SaaS software asking for $50 a month. If you deploy it for your company, please consider donating to devs!

Opensource + markdown + encryption + free (consider donating please).

  • Rentry.co icon
    Reviewed Rentry.co

A dead simple way to send markdown text (or code snippet for that matter). Includes CLI.

Absolute beast in features when it comes to free project management. Even when it comes to gantts. Of course users are pushed towards paid editions, but the pricing only seems fair and devs got to eat. It is not fully mature project yet, but there are no critical bugs either.

Hi guys, now with all the changes, what is the best way to stay in touch? I see you modified "predefined" decline messages. There is hardware twice, "Hardware" and "Not a software". 80% of declined apps are websites and otherwise software unrelated services. For example stuff like this http://www.joinflex.tv/, we get tons of websites that only want to collect emails and sell shit. Thanks.

App is not even approved and it has 5 likes. Clearly fake accounts were created for the purpose, if this will continue the app will be deleted.

  • KeePass icon

Best OSI certified piece of software. Very transparent, functional, and with lot of extensions - KeeFox, KeePassDroid, KeePass2Android... if you are on MAC/LINUX, there is a KeePassX Most important factor is that your database is always stored on your drive, and you have absolute control over your passwords, unlike alternativeto.net/software/lastpass/ . Don't get me wrong, lastpass is overall good software, but it is still proprietary.

It is like wireframe.cc but without premium part. For many people like me this is perfectly sufficient tool, no fancy rings and bells but does the job. If I find any suggestions I will post to github, where you also can track develompent. +1

Just check it out, it is great way to do in-person surveys with tablet, also looks great on phone. It is still in dev, but very promising.
