I have been fascinated by software in general since 1998.

Sometimes I revisit old operating systems for nostalgia.

I am not on any social media.

  • No wonder why I use cloud-free password managers like KeePass and KeePassXC.

    Reviewed Euro Truck Simulator

I spent thousands of hours freely exploring the Euro Truck Simulator 2 world. However, the experience can be improved further with car and map mods (such as ProMods): I am excited about the upcoming Greece map DLC, which I am aware many players have been wishing for.

  • The dire cybersecurity climate, with so many recent high-profile data breaches, means it is not the right time to force age verification systems like that, until we can find better alternatives that can be resilient to said cybersecurity climate. And I imagine AI is going to make credential theft by social engineering a lot easier, increasing the risk of more high-profile data breaches.

I highly recommend not to use this service when connected on internet, And aside from the highly censorship towards information that is China related, It is touching the boundaries of ethics, Even is the question how much this is looking like the standard Open IA version,

  • It is worth adding that the HBO prefix remained in use in Belgium and the Netherlands despite the 2023 rebrand, because of trademark conflicts with (respectively) the MAX streaming service by Flemish public broadcaster VRT, and Omroep MAX (a member of the Dutch public broadcasting system).

  • Having used VMware Workstation and Fusion for many years, I am quite shocked that Broadcom decided to make those hypervisors freeware.

Ever since Broadcom announced that they were initially going to make Workstation and Fusion free for personal use, I have been thinking that apart from the lack of support, which is understandable for free software, there has to be a catch somewhere.

Read their TOS - then compare to Wordpress.com or Weebly.com - the verbage unmistakeably allows them to supplement rental income by sub-licensing your material -- forever -- EVEN AFTER YOU MOVE ON. If you don't want to give them that right - you have to look elsewhere. Be sure and tell them why you didn't go with them. Geepers-Creeps.

WP-ENGINE TOS: "However, in order to enable us to provide the Services, we need Customer to grant us certain limited rights therein. As such, Customer...

  • How they intend to detect a user is accessing xwitter via a VPN? Unless it's a state-run VPN I have some doubts the plan will work 😂

Anyway I see the Brazilians winning here, since their mental health will greatly improve by them being off the MAGA, rashist and racist troll-swarming cesspool.

  • Fining someone for using a VPN is a bad idea: at the same time, Elon Musk is playing with matches in his attempt to push his version of free speech, while trying to sue people that don't agree with his actions or call out Twitter/X for inflaming violence.

  • The accusation is that it promotes ‘illegal activities’, but it is an excuse. In Spain a few months ago the three big media (Atresmedia, Mediaset and Movistar) took Telegram to court for promoting ‘copyrighted content’ from their TV channels and they are trying to ban Telegram in Spain, it was even announced in the news that it would be banned temporarily, people start using vpns and proxies and finally then judge Pedraz said it was an ‘abusive decision’.

    Now these globalist people directly...

  • Microsoft thinks that Windows 11 is some kind of ad-supported entertainment and media centre, when businesses and power users like me use them for actual work and not just messing around. No wonder Windows 11 is struggle to gain market share and may only do so under pressure from the upcoming end of support for Windows 10 next year October as well as the current cybersecurity climate where updates to any software (regardless of platform) are critical to keep users safe.

  • I'd throw a bit of money into a lawsuit, too. They all banded together to boycott because he didn't pander to the right people or censor anyone right of center.

  • So let me get this straight: Elon Musk claims to support free speech, but then launches legal action against companies and organisations who disagree with him? This makes no sense.

  • The streaming market is currently as crowded as the Japanese commuter railways during the rush hour, and this has caused viewers to be sceptical about having to create separate accounts for multiple services: I am personally cautious about creating internet accounts without a very good reason, due to the current global cybersecurity climate.

  • It seems every commercial tech company, regardless of origin, is after our data. Coupled with the developments with the Internet Archive, I sometimes feel I just want to hit the STOP and EJECT button on this world.

  • They just made piracy sites even more appealing.
