What is Zizeg?

Zizeg is a native Mac Markdown editor for people who want to work visually while keeping direct control of their source. Edit text, lists, and tables in the rendered Preview, work in raw Source, or keep both editors open side by side. Changes stay in sync in the same plain .md file.

Open existing Markdown files from Finder without a vault, account, or import step. Keep pasted images in a sibling assets folder or embed them in the file. If a Finder rename affects image references, Zizeg can offer to repair them.

Remote images stay blocked until you approve them. Unsupported HTML is flagged, and rendering and export are sanitized without silently changing the saved Markdown. Navigate longer documents with a table of contents, then export to self-contained HTML or PDF.

Zizeg is useful for notes, READMEs, specifications, and Markdown produced by AI tools. Reading is free; a one-time purchase or subscription unlocks editing and export.
