HyperTerminal is a terminal emulator capable of connecting to systems through TCP/IP Networks, Dial-Up Modems, and COM ports. Until Windows XP, it is included with the operating system, but, starting from Windows Vista, it has to be bought separately.

moserial is a clean, friendly gtk-based serial terminal for the GNOME desktop. It is primarily intended for technical users and hardware hackers who need to communicate with embedded systems, test equipment, and serial consoles.

QuteSerial is a RS232 terminal in the veins of minicom, hyperterminal, and br@y's Terminal.exe. It allows you to access a old-fashioned RS232 (serial) port and display the received data in either a Hex or ASCII format.
