Write.as is the only writing platform I use now. The best features are:
• Distraction-free text editor • Markdown formatting • No signup required to post • Make a blog in seconds • Host multiple blogs from one account • Share a post easily
The features have been kept to a minimum which makes writing and posting frictionless.
A true writers' platform.

Easy, adfree, freemium with an affordable price (and a generous free tier for those who want that).
It's easy to use and really helpful
I've used the software running this on a different instance of it. This is the flagship instance, and it's got a couple more features than the others do, namely the ability to publish to additional silos.
I love this platform! I need to actually set up an alternative blog on it ... after all, not only can you publish your writing on conventional social media (e.g. Twitter, facebook, and so on), but everything you publish has the option to travel to the Fediverse, an alternative social world that's governedby the people, not by a corporation, so if that's important to you, highly recommended!
I like this blogging platform because it is minimalist and focused directly on the content.
Yes, we need more platforms like this. Wordpress is great, but it doesn't match the unique functionality offered here.
