Been using web-based alternatives like Sharedop/Snapdrop before finding this. Those sites have gone down before. Warpinator doesn't have that issue as a local app. Works flawlessly with the unofficial Android version

It features a simple, themeable user interface with an easy-to-configure menu and works without the need for any servers or special configuration. Warpinator is an official file sharing app developed by Linux Mint.
