Waistline
Free calorie counter and weight tracker
What is Waistline?
Waistline is a calorie counter and weight tracker that allows you to keep a diary of the food you eat and track variations in your weight.
All data is kept on your device, it's never shared with a server or uploaded to the "cloud" but it can be exported or imported easily when needed.
The app includes a barcode scanner that connects to the Open Food Facts database to pull in product information.
Best of all this app respects your freedom, data, and privacy. It is entirely free/libre and open source. The source code is available on GitHub

Said about Waistline as an alternative
The software is free as in freedom and keeps all the data on your own device under your control.
It has basically all the features, plus the ability to add individual goals for each day of the week. It uses Open Food Facts database to get info on products, is awesome.
The ability to add custom food entries and set custom (daily) nutritional goals absolutely makes this worth using over other, freemium nutrition trackers as these features are usually locked behind expensive, recurring paywalls. The only downsides is units seem to be metric only, at least for weight (kg), and unable to macro/micronutrients on a daily basis, but they are aggregated on a line/bar graph, so you can at least view the data, if in a non-numerical way.
