Apps similar to Vibe Kanban include Orchestrator, which is free and open source. Other options are Clayrune and Splitlane. In total there are three AI Coding Assistants like Vibe Kanban for Mac, Linux, self-hosting and Windows.
Orchestrator is a macOS app for following AI-assisted development from a task through the resulting code changes. Its positioning is “VS Code × Codex × Jira”: repository files, coding-agent conversations and a task board in one workspace.
Clayrune is a self-hosted control plane for Claude Code. It runs several agents at once, one per project, and shows them in a single dashboard, so you can see which projects are working, which are waiting on you, and what each agent did.
Splitlane is a native desktop app for supervising several CLI coding agents at once. Each agent runs in a real terminal pane, as it would in your own terminal. Splitlane shows which session is working, which has finished and which is stopped on a question for you.
