Splitlane

Splitlane is a native desktop app for supervising several CLI coding agents at once. Each agent runs in a real terminal pane, as it would in your own terminal. Splitlane shows which session is working, which has finished and which is stopped on a question for you.

Three agents in one project: one working, one finished, one waiting on a permission prompt.

What is Splitlane?

Splitlane is a native desktop app for supervising several CLI coding agents at once. Each agent runs in a real terminal pane, as it would in your own terminal. Splitlane shows which session is working, which has finished and which is stopped on a question for you. For Claude Code and Codex the state is read from the agents' own session records. Eight more agents, including Gemini, Cursor and OpenCode, report through hooks. For the remaining supported agents it knows only that the process is running.

A project's panes are arranged as a row, a column or a grid of four, and a rail lists projects and their sessions with status. It also has a diff view of uncommitted changes, a file tree, Claude and Codex plan usage, notifications for sessions that are not on screen, session restore after a restart, and a read-only MCP bridge and CLI for scripting.

Written in Rust on Zed's GPUI. Release builds exist for macOS (Apple Silicon) and Linux; Windows is built from source for now. Everything runs locally, with the agent CLIs and accounts you already use. This is an early release (0.1.x).
