    Initial cost is $35 usd, then updates is $20 /yr

    Personally I don't like any 3rd party accessing my system.

    The free version is now nearly useless, it's only showing major releases.

    Ex You have Firefox version 3.0.10 installed and UpdateStar is only showing 3 (this is on the free version)
