What is Trello?
Trello brings all your tasks, teammates, and tools together. Keep everything in the same place—even if your team isn’t.
Simple, flexible, and powerful. All it takes are boards, lists, and cards to get a clear view of who’s doing what and what needs to get done.
- Boards: Trello boards keep tasks organized and work moving forward. In a glance, see everything from “things to do” to “aww yeah, we did it!”
- Lists: The different stages of a task. Start as simple as To Do, Doing or Done—or build a workflow custom fit to your team’s needs. There’s no wrong way to Trello.
- Cards: Cards represent tasks and ideas and hold all the information to get the job done. As you make progress, move cards across lists to show their status.
Workflows for any project, big or small
- Project management: Keep tasks in order, deadlines on track, and team members aligned with Trello.
- Meetings: Empower your team meetings to be more productive, empowering, and dare we say—fun.
- Onboarding: Onboarding to a new company or project is a snap with Trello’s visual layout of to-do’s, resources, and progress tracking.
- Task management: Use Trello to track, manage, complete, and bring tasks together like the pieces of a puzzle, and make your team’s projects a cohesive success every time.
- Brainstorming: Unleash your team’s creativity and keep ideas visible, collaborative, and actionable.
- Resource hub: Save time with a well-designed hub that helps teams find information easily and quickly.
No need to start from scratch. Jump-start your workflow with a proven playbook designed for different teams. Customize it to make it yours.

I like Trello, but was a little bit concerned about the security. So I am switching it to pm tools that can be self-hosted. I compare the features and workflow of Jira and ZenTao, and chose the later for it supports the whole lifecycle of software development. Just a thougt.
It is simple to pick up and easy to use but also covers some complexity and individual use cases
Great drag and drop ability. Appreciate the remote and team ability. I'm comparing ToDo Managers as a home user. Elisi is similar in drag n drop. Elisi has a free calendar view and journal area. Atlassian created Jira, a similar program, which was launched almost two decades before they acquired Trello in 2017
A great tool for teams who want to stay on top of their tasks. The free version is more than enough.
Simple, convenient, and easy to use.
A great tool that helps organize tasks easily and keep track of them. There's an option to share boards with colleagues, which helps work effectively in a team.
Pro: I've tried many task management tools over the years, and Trello certainly is one of the best. I've been happily using it for more than 5 years now after switching from Wunderlist. Trello is flexible, extensible (through Power-Ups), has a lot of features even in the free version ... I especially like the nice board backgrounds, the possibility to add cover photos to your cards and the card editor with a dedicated comment section. Sharing cards with others is easy.
Con: bulk editing only through paid Power-Up.
