tela wiki

Self-hostable, markdown-native team wiki that documents your code and is read/write for AI agents via a built-in MCP server.

Atlas turns a repo into a cited wiki and audits its own coverage: documented files, citation counts, and the exact undocumented file:line gaps.

What is tela wiki?

tela is an open-source, self-hostable team wiki built for a world where AI agents are first-class authors and readers. Atlas, its documentation engine, points at your repository and drafts and maintains cited wiki pages from your actual code, auditing how completely they cover the source and regenerating pages that drift. A built-in Model Context Protocol (MCP) server lets agents in Claude, Cursor, and ChatGPT search, read, and author pages directly, with scoped write permissions. "Ask your docs" answers plain-language questions grounded in your pages, with citations back to the source. It pairs a Go and PostgreSQL backend with a React 19 / Milkdown editor, live real-time collaboration, ranked full-text plus semantic (pgvector) search, spreadsheets, and Slidev slide decks, all authorable by both humans and agents. Your content stays canonical Markdown forever, with no proprietary block store, so you can sync it over WebDAV or export it anytime. Run the whole stack with one command, or use the hosted instance at telawiki.com.
