What is SteadyMount?
SteadyMount mounts SFTP, WebDAV, and FTP servers as Finder drives using Apple's File Provider API, the same framework iCloud Drive uses. No macFUSE, no kernel extension, no Recovery-mode reboots. Files download on demand, and the mount self-heals when macOS pauses the extension to save power instead of showing a "server disconnected" error.
SFTP (ED25519/RSA key or password auth, TOFU host key validation), WebDAV (Basic/Digest, HTTPS), and FTP (standard or anonymous login, with FTPS) in v1. macOS 14+. $27.99 one-time, no subscription, free for 30 usage days and then one connection stays free after that.
