What is Gocci?
Google's own app puts your Drive in a fixed location on the internal disk. If the internal disk is full, that is the end of the conversation. Gocci lets you pick the mount point — an external drive, or any folder you like — and reconnects there every time you log in, waiting for the external disk if it isn't ready yet.
It runs rclone over NFS underneath, so there is no kernel extension to install and no reboot. Files come down when you open them and stay in a cache you can cap or clear. Finder badges show whether each file is cloud-only, downloading, or on the disk, and you can drop a local copy from the right-click menu. Items other people shared with you by link don't clutter the listing — you see the same contents as My Drive in a browser.
Your files move between your Mac and Google directly; nothing passes through a server of mine. Free and open source under the MIT license, for Apple Silicon Macs.
