As soon as I saw this app here, I downloaded both old and new versions (3.7 and 4.9). They work portable without any problems. Both versions are great. They are nice looking and fast. The only issue I had is, Windows Defender found a virus in version 4.9. "youtube-dl.exe" was recognised as a virus and got removed by it.
It's not discontinued. There's a 2019 version up on their website.
Lates Version (3.7 Build 2437) of this Software works fine. But there is no new Version since 2011-08-30. The english website copyright is 2009.
All i have to say is do yourself a favor and get this program! I was a VLC media fan for years but it cant hold a candle to SPlayer by any means.
Plays HD videos even on netbook. Awesome UI. Downloads the subs.
Best media player I have ever used. It is small, has all the codecs inside, and most important is that it can automatically download the subs for you!
The awesomest player! Not need to install and keep track of codecs, it is portable, and awesome UI (except some of it is chinese) and an unforgottable performance. Even in HD's.
I do recommend!
