What is SpacePeek?

SpacePeek brings folder and archive browsing to Finder Quick Look. Select a folder or supported archive and press Space to explore its contents without opening another app.

Browse in List or Grid view, search by name, and preview images, PDFs, formatted Markdown and source code. The Overview shows folder sizes, storage distribution, item counts and the largest files. Version 2.3 adds RAR and 7z previews alongside ZIP and other supported archives, without unpacking the whole archive. Preview availability depends on format and resource limits; encrypted or unsupported entries may not be previewable.

Browsing, search and file previews are free. An optional one-time $3.99 USD Pro purchase unlocks deeper folder and archive navigation, Reveal in Finder and copying individual archive files up to 100 MiB each. Family Sharing is supported, with no subscription.

SpacePeek works locally on your Mac, with no tracking or analytics and no changes to your original files. Requires macOS 14 or later. After installation, open SpacePeek once and enable both Quick Look extensions in System Settings.

Available in English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish.
