What is Snitch Network Visualizer?

Snitch is a free, open-source network traffic visualizer that shows every connection your computer makes, in real time. It renders outbound traffic as an animated node graph and a world map, with per-process attribution so you can see exactly which app is talking to which server.

Everything runs locally: passive packet capture, offline GeoIP lookup (MaxMind GeoLite2, no external API calls), and a loopback-only API. Snitch sends no telemetry and makes zero outbound requests of its own.

Features include anomaly detection (port scans, beaconing patterns, unusual exfiltration volumes), a live privacy score breaking down trackers vs. normal traffic, and a bilingual English/French interface.

It runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux — as an Electron desktop app, a Docker container, or a standalone FastAPI backend with a web UI. A demo mode (SNITCH_DEMO=1) lets you try it without elevated privileges.
