What is ScreenTinker?

ScreenTinker is an open-source digital signage CMS built with a deliberately minimal stack: Node.js, Express, SQLite, and vanilla JavaScript with no build step. The simple architecture makes it easy to self-host on inexpensive VPS infrastructure, audit the codebase, and customize for specific deployments.

Core features include content scheduling, group scheduling across multiple displays, kiosk mode, video walls, live remote control, a mobile-responsive admin interface, a Directory Board widget, and full white-label support. The platform handles everything from single-screen retail kiosks to multi-location display networks.

Available as a free self-hosted open source release, or as a managed cloud-hosted offering for users who don't want to run their own infrastructure. Active community on Discord and ongoing development.
