Comments and Reviews
lightweight, stable, customizable
I just installed RSS Guard, but when I try to open it, I get the error message, "'RSS Guard' Not Opened. Apple could not verify 'RSS Guard' is free of malware that may harm your Mac or compromise your privacy."

Cross-platform, solid on Windows, Mac and Linux, doesn't chew up resources. Local app, won't track you, but you can optionally sync across devices using several cloud services.
Extremely customizable. You can choose a specific web browser to open posts externally, and can set up other applications on the system as tools that can open article urls. Sync the list of feeds separately from the articles in them. Sync with more than one cloud service. Even change the database backend. But all that comes at the cost of clutter. If you're the kind of person who likes to set things up just right rather than stick with the basics, this is the one to go with.
Note: If you want to use it with
Nextcloud News , be sure to assign an app-specific password for RSS Guard, or it can overwhelm your server while syncing.
light enough and powerful, but the feature that I am interested in is not yet available, namely TTS.. if you're working with a computer it would be very inconvenient to always read, but at the same time our ears are not used..
Edit = Based on the comment below, this is no longer an issue.
RSS Guard is currently looking for a new developer as the founder has lost interest. Proceed with caution.
Not true, anymore. I am still leading RSS Guard to glory and I will for years coming.
That is fantastic news! Thanks for clarifying 😎👍
