Safe & Informed is a news reader you can listen to. You pick the sources and the app reads them to you, on screen or aloud, and in the car through CarPlay.

YOUR SOURCES • Add any RSS feed, or start from the community directory. • Found a site in Safari? Share it to Safe & Informed and the feed is added. • Organise feeds into categories and subcategories. • Import your feeds from another reader (OPML or Excel). • Recommendations are computed on your device. Nothing in your feed is paid for or picked by someone else.

LISTEN ANYWHERE • Read-aloud with the system voice: free, and it works offline. • A natural AI voice and AI summaries on Pro. • Radio turns a topic into a continuous station. • The Daily Briefing reads today's top stories and ends when you're caught up. • CarPlay: browse and play your feeds from the car screen. • Download articles and briefings for offline listening.

READING • Reader view strips the clutter. • Magazine view opens photo-rich feeds as a cover, a contents page and full-screen spreads. • Coverage lines up how different outlets headline the same story. • Podcasts next to your news. • 22 languages, including Arabic and Hebrew, plus on-device translation of articles. • Adjustable text size, light and dark themes.

PRIVACY • No account and no sign-up. • Your sources, history and settings stay on your device, or in your own iCloud. • Ads on the free plan are contextual only. The advertising identifier is never used to track you. • AI summaries and the AI voice receive only the article text, with nothing that identifies you. Discover and Ask send your interests to an AI provider, so the app asks for your permission first.

Everything made with AI is labelled "Made with AI" and can be reported from inside the app. AI can be wrong: treat it as a starting point and check the source.
