What is reminal?

reminal streams every terminal and GUI window on your machines into any browser, with full input. Run the single binary, scan the QR it prints, and your phone or any browser becomes a live terminal (with tmux-like session persistence, true colour and scrollback search) plus a window viewer at 60fps: click, type, scroll and drag in the real apps.

Its closed-lid mode keeps a MacBook awake and rendering with the lid shut: it disables clamshell sleep and creates a virtual display in software, replacing the dummy HDMI plug. A fleet view shows every machine and session you own, and a session dock lets you swipe between them.

Security model: the host only dials out (no open ports to scan), sessions are end-to-end encrypted (AES-256-GCM with a PIN-authenticated X25519 handshake) with ephemeral per-run credentials, and the relay only routes ciphertext it cannot read. The relay is open source and can be self-hosted on Cloudflare's free tier. No accounts, no telemetry. AGPL-3.0. Works on macOS (full experience), Linux and Windows (terminals and windows).
