Said about Radio4000 as an alternative
euo29025 If a music is deleted from Youtube, you lose even the title, not on Radio4000.
When you add a music to Radio4000, you can also add meta data, from discogs, such as the year the music was releases in, its genres and styles, as well as the label who released it
euo29025 Spotify should be a library on which you browse all existing music to discover what humans are able to create, express. But Discogs is better for that, since it "has it all".
On Radio4000 you discover what people listen to, what they love in music and sounds. What is better to discover new artists in the context of some you like? That is what a radio is, or should be. Radio4000 is that, a musical journey through people's all time favorites — around the planet.
fubifubfub It does not lock your library in the service, and is media agnostic

Finally a great new music project! Kudos!
On Radio4000 there are no notification, it is calm, just music.
All the music is selected by humans, just their favorite tunes, everyone can create their radio.
It is super easy to start a radio, one click, give it a name, you're broadcasting.
A radio is a collection of the music you like and would like to find again sometimes.
Find a music you like on Youtube, copy the URL, and post it inside your radio, there is your first track!
All time favorites, recent discoveries, up and coming artists and underground acts, people add all sorts of things, selecting from their sensitivity. It makes the experience super cozy, and also well organized. Tracks can have a title and a comment, in which you can write any kind of description you want to add to the track, such as a mood or precision.
You can listen other radios, explore what others think is worth their time and attention, find new unsuspected gems.
Some people use #hashtags, to create collections of tracks, like #jazz, #techno, #1999, and you can search through all that.
Recommended if you're into new discoveries, or having a place for your music to share across devices.
