What is Purr?

Purr is a local-first API client for macOS built around HTTP and GraphQL workflows. It supports request history, Postman collection import, OpenAPI import, dynamic variables extracted from previous responses, JQ/JSONPath filtering, and GraphQL features such as schema introspection, autocomplete, documentation, and schema exploration. One of the main ideas behind Purr is keeping more debugging context close to the request itself. Purr can correlate requests with Jaeger traces, making it possible to move from request → response → trace without manually searching across separate tools. Purr does not require an account, keeps workspaces local, and its core is open source. It is currently available for macOS.
