What is Prudii?
Prudii Mail is a native desktop email client focused on privacy and speed. Your emails live entirely on your machine — there is no cloud service in between, no telemetry, and no server that ever sees your mail.
A tracker blocker is on by default: it strips tracking pixels, hidden images and requests to 70+ known tracker domains, so senders can't tell when — or whether — you opened their mail. Passwords are encrypted at rest using the operating system's secure storage (DPAPI, Keychain, keyring).
Prudii combines all your accounts in one unified inbox: Gmail, Outlook / Microsoft 365, iCloud, Fastmail, GMX, WEB.DE, Proton (via Bridge) and any IMAP/SMTP provider. Full-text search works instantly across every account, even offline. Optional AI features (summaries, reply suggestions) run locally via Ollama — nothing leaves your network, no API keys required.
Built with Rust and Tauri instead of Electron, Prudii starts in seconds and uses little memory. It's free, updates itself with signed releases, supports seven languages (English, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese), and includes dark & light themes, snooze, send later, mail rules, templates and ZIP backup/restore. The source code is public on GitHub.
