since Mailbird cancel three accounts in free version, I have to go... :-(


They have very cheap license. Purchase it. And don't cry. They did a lot of work, and bring very good product.
Why they must to do that for free? For what? Mailbird much cheaper than any other alternative

only 1 account usable for free version!

Mailbird was my goto for email application, until with an update free email service got limited to only one email account.

Good look and feel, frustratingly bad performance

I was pleased at first with its simplicity but couldn't stand two issues:

  1. When you switch back to the app after not using it for some time (like two hours), you have to wait sometimes for 2 minutes until your mouse cursor recovers from its "loading" state and you can eventually click on a message, then another minute or so until the message's content finally "develops".
  2. Another thing I miss is sorting the message list by sender, recipient, time etc. At first I thought message search would replace it for me, but it didn't. Regretfully, I'm switching back to Thunderbird.

The "sorting" feature is on our Roadmap and we will get to it as soon as we can.

If you would like to give Mailbird another try, please disable animation and update your graphic card driver, that may make a huge difference in terms of speed.

Great Product / Poor Customer Service

I tested Mailbird for several months. I liked what I saw in the product. I then paid for the Pro version. That's when the positives I received from Andrea were offset and darkened by one of her staff members (L.S.).

There was an issue during the payment process and I found Mailbird's Customer Service priorities lacking. L.S. never attempted to address the problem, except to argue. I paid in full. No argument there. They didn't provide a promised discount because of a problem with their system. Not much money, but a lot of principle is involved.

That left me questioning...
If I had a REAL PROBLEM with my email, would they approach it correctly? My recent experience suggests not. That's a problem and that's why I decided to stop using Mailbird.

Andrea and her staff don't realize there are many acceptable email options available and not addressing clients properly is a dangerous business proposition - especially for a relatively new start-up. I've made it fine for more than 20 years without Mailbird and I'll be fine without them going forward. Until and unless the Mailbird team is willing to demonstrate the importance of good customer service, I'll take my business elsewhere.

I consider this post a Neutral Post. The Positive is the product, as experienced by me over a two month period. The offsetting negative is their customer service philosophy, as seen in how they handle issues.

I've found Mailbird to be a very easy to use email client with a clean interface for multiple email accounts. Customer support was very responsive with questions and set-up. With future enhancements coming it's a very nice email alternative to some of the other Windows email clients I've tried.

Gmail is probably the service of choice for most people, but using Gmail through a browser can be frustrating. Mailbird essentially cuts out the browser requirement and gives users easy ownership of their email.

There are small bugs, but every email I've ever sent to the mailbird staff has been answered within a day or two. It's really an amazing program with great functionality. I love it.

Mailbird is a new email client not known much to the general public (so we have to spread the news)

I'm using it for 3 days already and i can pretty much give an opinion about this client.
The UI is actually very very good. It's simple and gives you all the option you need easy to find
You can integrate if you want facebook and other neat cool stuff.

It just takes little time to set up (you set the email and password of the email you use and mailbird will automatically set all the option needed and if you want you can do it manually

So my opinion on this is TRY IT!!!!

I don't need all those extra features that like 90% of people using outlook's email client don't even use.

I just want an email client that works, easy to use, fast, looks good, customized/personal, and innovates omni-channel communication by integrating them into one inbox. Since we don't just use email anymore, we also use social channels, messaging and task management apps to communication online today.

I understand how this might come off differently than anticipated - as the CEO of an email company, I and the rest of my team has used many other email clients including Outlook, and because of how unhappy we were with those solutions, we built one that we actually want. We all chose to build the tool that we all wanted and are very passionate about. I apologize if this came off as being deceptive, it was never the intention and no lies, only my true two cents based on my experience with email. I can understand your point of view and respect that, but just want to assure that it is never our intention to do anything else but share our honest opinions in the software tools we use. Surely Mailbird has amazing multi-connectivity advantages over other traditional mail clients but I find it dishonest the way you portrait the software as some kind of world wonder but make no mention about it's limitation to 1 account using the Lite version(if you want more you have to pay).
