What is Plasma Studio?

Built from the ground, up Plasma Studio is an ongoing effort to seamlessly integrate several different departments of editing into one streamlined application. Among many useful features included in this program, a few in particular stands out, these being hardware acceleration across the board, node-based editing, script-based editing, WYSIWYG editing and basic 3D modeling.

Switch seamlessly from editing your video's tone equalizers, custom LUTs, colorspace transforms, radial/linear blur, to editing audio with waveforms and spectrogram, to editing RAW photo's and vector graphics and animations, all with the goal of enabling the user to make an entire project in one program as frictionless as possible. Screen capture and streaming is also straightforward with webcam support and multiple scenes, you can get pretty complex setups too.

3D modeling is arguably one of the most intriguing features being user friendly and simple to use, however this is not trying to be blender and is by far and away a long way from it, so set your expectations accordingly. Things it can do are on the simpler side of things, such as shapes, extruding 2D elements into 3D, simple lighting and environments, transforms, simple materials, some camera features, grouping, and UV transform.
