The algorithm is highly effective at surfacing relevant content, and pins have long-term visibility compared to other platforms.
Cons: Limited direct interaction compared to typical social media, and content creation requires strong visuals to perform well.
Verdict: One of the best platforms for inspiration, traffic generation, and evergreen content discovery.

Ai overtook the app
Before even touching design software or AI, this is where my visual research begins. I analyze visual codes from the Tech sector to create highly targeted moodboards for my clients. It's essential for exploring creative directions before sketching the first concepts.
Pinterest is still a useful provider of arts, photos, ideas and so on. It just feels irritating when I use it.
Terrible user interface makes curating pictures a nightmare.
"Ads, ads, ads," as a majority of commenters would say. I feel like after Pinterest decided to start training AI models on user data was the last straw for me.
Another personal problem that stuck with me for a while is that users can upload awesome artwork without crediting the original artist or citing its source; something I'm not a fan of. Even if the art truly originates from Pinterest only and not anywhere else, I still can't help but be judgemental about the art being posted. That's just what I think.
