- Flooded with AI ~~slop~~ images. It may be good sometimes, however it is rarely marked as AI-generated. Pinterest doesn't bother at all.
- Clicking Download button doesn't provide you original quality image, instead you get it shrinked to 736 width or 1200 width. You need to manually edit every single link with image if you like to get images in original resolution (e.g. replace "736x" with "originals" in link). This makes mobile app unusable for me, because it provides only shrinked images...

What is Pinterest?
Think of Pinterest as a virtual pinboard — a place where you can create collections of things you love and "follow" collections created by people with great taste.
People use Pinterest to collect and share all sorts of things -- wedding inspiration, favorite T-shirts, DJ equipment. You name it, people are pinning it.
We know you have great taste in something. Our mission is to make Pinterest the best place for you to share your taste with the world.

Pinterest is very different from other social networks. I like the iadea of Pinterest.
Pinterest used to be very good. Now it mainly consists of ads and censorship. A picture of a shoulder or a couple hugging is seen as "adult content", which is forbidden on Pinterest, so these pictures get deleted. Too many of these arbitrary rule violations lead to account suspension. Nothing would be easier than introducing an age restriction - but no, let's spoil it for everyone.

Pinterest is still a useful provider of arts, photos, ideas and so on. It just feels irritating when I use it.
Terrible user interface makes curating pictures a nightmare.
"Ads, ads, ads," as a majority of commenters would say. I'd like to point out also that Pinterest began filling up with AI-generated pictures, which can be bothersome for artists. https://www.reddit.com/r/ArtistLounge/comments/10seifd/i_am_annoyed_on_how_pinterest_starting_to_be/ https://www.reddit.com/r/Pinterest/comments/1ipdva1/pinterest_needs_to_put_a_ban_against_ai_imagery/
I feel like after Pinterest decided to start training AI models on user data was the last straw for me.
Another personal problem that stuck with me for a while is that users can upload awesome artwork without crediting the original artist or citing its source; something I'm not a fan of. Even if the art truly originates from Pinterest only and not anywhere else, I still can't help but be judgemental about the art being posted. That's just what I think.
It gives me information
