    Great photo and tag management tools. It's also apparently the only program, from the ones listed, that has facial recognition features (although not great in comparison to Picasa's).

    Well, the UI of digiKam is a torture. Using it after Picase is like going from UI back to command line. It's packed with features, yes, but UI overcomplicated far beyond what is necessary. Tabs on top, tabs on the left, tabs on the right, and yes, each window section can also have tabs...

    It plays motion Gifs, and has the functionality I was looking for after Picasa as a program on my computer, not on google servers

    While ImageGlass is only a photo viewer and not a full-on Photo Management software, ImageGlass can be configured to look and work pretty similarly to the Picasa Photo Viewer (part of Picasa), albeit it doesn't match Picasa's Photo Viewer completely.     Cannot upload to google photos. I can share photos to flickr but selecting more than 99 photos will disable that option too. Cunning product design that they don't support integration with google product.
