What is Paperwork Note-Taking?
[ALPHA - UNDER DEVELOPMENT] OpenSource note-taking & archiving
Paperwork is an open-source, self-hosted alternative to services like Evernote ,
Microsoft OneNote or Google Keep .
NOTE In order to get Paperwork in its current state (under development) running, you have to have an understanding for how Docker and DNS works and know the basic concepts of HTTP proxying. Also, experience with Traefik and Minio might come in handy.
If you don’t have that, then the current state of Paperwork probably isn’t for you in first place. To make it clear: This software is not usable at this moment. It’s being worked on to be made usable in the near future. In its current state, Paperwork v2 is targeted to developers that would like to get their hands dirty and contribute to the project.

Comments and Reviews
The front page states
On GitHub i see there is activity about once a month or so. The Readme elaborates on the above:
This isn't really an application so much as a project. I don't think it should be listed here.
This app was promising in V1. However, there's a new leader in the PHP world for evernote and onentoe alternatives. Checkout Bookstack on Github. Easy to install, and does everything this system seemed to be aimed at.
Paperwork is undergoing a rewrite and is, according to the webiste, " ...in its very early development phase and not yet usable." (as of early August 2018)
Is there any version that is available/functional that you are aware of?
This falls short of a full review, but:
One of the ideas behind Evernote is that it has clients on different desktops and a browser plugin for convenience. Linux users, for whom Evernote provides no client, have to login via the web, which is annoying. (Unless they use Nixnote.) Paperwork is all web interface. So no offline notes, one gathers. Also there's no browser plugin, so far as I can see.
The demo on the site doesn't work. You have to download the files to find other online demos mentioned. What a pointless inconvenience.
By contrast, Turtl and Tagspaces both have clients on all platforms and browser plugins. (And encryption in the case of Turtl.)

The best thing about it - it's FOSS!
