A lot of applications frankly need to have their speeds controlled, or just flat out blocked. I used to use Glasswire, when it was still back in the beta (when the functionalities were free). Now with this, I can do just the same.
Also has a dark theme. I love dark themes.
Great program, I could not find an open source alternative, hopefully one comes along because the pricing structure for netlimiter is silly. I rarely buy software/apps, but I really wanted to, and I don't mind the support running out a year after, but to tell me my software suddenly stops working for no apparent reason. It's not as if the subscription is to maintain servers. Pure greed. Great app, ruined.
EDIT: I actually did find an open source alternative. I definitely recommend checking out 'Fort Firewall'.
I agree and was astonished when I saw that NetLimiter was on a subscription model. The author tells me they're considering making the license perpetual. I'm not going to sit around waiting and hoping.
still subscription :(
does what it says on the tin. very simple to use.
Excellent to limit individually any app.
I also started to use it as a FireWall and it's working quite well, and it's good to have one app to do Traffic limiting and control.
Great application, just one consideration. The perpetual, isn't. It's limited to major version. When that changes, you have to pay again, complete price, not even discount.
Netlimiter has slowed down my pc a lot and it keeps on crashing, also baiting you into a free trial to buy their trash product, defenitly not recommended to download.
It has been the best software I tried. It has not given me compatibility problems like others. It can be used as a firewall and the graphics help control traffic better. Very good.
