What is Modelio?
Modelio is an open source modeling tool supporting natively UML, BPMN and model exchange with XMI. It allows to draw all UML2 diagrams and specific diagrams for business process modeling. It is easy and powerful with the capacity to add new functionalities to the application. In fact, it is possible to generate and reverse engineering source code (Java, ...), generate web documentation or work with other modeling languages and standards (SysML, TOGAF, ...). Several free extensions are available at the Modelio Store for Modelio.

Seems to be discontinued. Just show some "JavaVM missing" error on macOS, and app is not even signed.
That error is generated from an old version of the software. I think you have the newest version of JVM on your machine. But the GitHub.com repo shows updates. The project collaborators have not shared the updated binaries. So you must generate by yourself from the source code.
As of 2023, the project is updated and active again.
