I've tried pretty much every music library frontend out there. I use a combination of AIMP and MusicBee. I make music and have a lot of individual soundfiles that I don't want crowding up my main player, and AIMP can play and stop them from the taskbar without any gui interference. For listening to albums and podcasts I use Musicbee which has a great tagging system and is probably the most visually appealing player I've used.

MusicBee has a very similar appearance and feature set as MediaMonkey, but is much more customizable, feature-rich, and stable.

Is the most complete audio player you can get on linux (at least at the moment), all other audio players aren't as complete as this one is or are based on it and are not as complete as clementine.

While it is an excellent audio player, it is NOT a file/content manager. Also it is NOT video capable. Therefore it only provides less than 1/4 the functionality of MediaMonkey. The most powerful and meaningful functions of MediaMonkey are its content management capabilities.

On my Mac (late 2013) Clementine does not easily rip CDs from an external drive. It loses Album Artist information. It does not read .aiff files. I don't know what else it can't do, because those functions are so basic I refuse to dig deeper.
