I have used mautic for the last few months and it has been serving me very well. I use it on a shared 2 core and 2 gig ram VPS on digital ocean and it works excellently with both amazon ses and sendgrid. Most people make mistakes during installation.You cannot possibly unleash the advanced features that mautic provides on a shared host, you will need a VPS for better results.I followed a guide on youtube by Dave "profitable tools" - (a very helpful youtube channel that gives solutions on SME marketting solutions).Along with his guidelines, his video is based on "mauteam" (mauteam is a mautic enthusiasts and power users blogpost who provide simplified guides on their blog for "non-tech" users). Conclusion: There are many marketting and automation tools out there but for a free and opensource software, mautic gives for free what you would have to pay thousands for.
cons: Installation may not be friendly for every user but with the solution i shared above, just anybody can follow the step to step guide in minutes.

Really great tool for email marketing. However, it breaks down a lot and you'll have to troubleshoot the file permissions.
