Garbage. Hard to use. Their webpage will break if you're using any browser plugins at all. Interestingly, as soon as I signed up for this, I mysteriously began getting bombarded by spam. Avoid at all costs.
Their service is just not good there are much better alternatives out there, commercial or open source. Additionally, this company is known for shutting down your entire service over a single tweet due to their political leanings. Just not a good business practice to get a service from a company that may or may not shut your marketing operation down over an arbitrary tweet. Thanks, but no thanks!
I remember MailChimp for having good statistics and great API for scripting purposes. The HTML editor behaved a bit strange. Better than VerticalResponse, but not great.
Here's our short opinion for MailChimp.
If you are small business - MailChimp is focused on that part.
They have free plan as well as MailChimp is worth it as long as you don't have more than 10k to 20k subscribers.
MailChimp shouldn't be used as Direct Email Marketing tool engaged with cold emails. Often accounts get banned with no detailed explanation, although there are many scenarios when you are totally eligible sender.
We at SMTPBOXES recommend MailChimp for transactional, informal and engaging messages otherwise even if eligible in other cases (such as mass emails to outdated emails) you may have issues.

I use at work and i'm very happy. Great design and UI, real user friendly and good analytic tool.
