sharpaxee Steam can actually be effectively used as a launcher since non-steam games can be added. It also has support for Proton, allowing many windows games to be played on linux. Steam actually has an exceptional controller support as well and it can be configured for any software or game, even non-steam ones.

It does give-or-take all what Lutris can do, and it's available both on Flathub and as an AppImage which makes it real easy to install on elementary os and any other Linux system.
