I like the gamification in LifeRPG, but I would prefer an app that focused on solely habit formation and did not combine that with a to-do list.
According to AlternativeTo, LifeRPG has not been updated since 2017 –– seven years ago.

Simple enough to set it up once and just let it do its job, yet complex enough to create step-by-step plans and recurring tasks in an organized way.
You can organize rewards to give you incentive to work on your tasks, or you can ignore them altogether and still get a great experience.
