What is Momo?
Momo is a free, self-hostable task manager built specifically for people who struggle with procrastination, ADHD, and avoidance tendencies.
Instead of overwhelming you with endless lists, Momo picks ONE task per day as your "Daily Quest" — the single most important thing to focus on. Complete it, earn coins, level up. Spend your coins on real-world rewards through the built-in wishlist.
Key features: • Daily Quest: One task per day, chosen for you based on priority and your current energy level • Energy-aware scheduling: Tag tasks with required energy (HIGH/MEDIUM/LOW), check in daily, get matched tasks • Gamification: Coins, levels, achievements, streaks — all designed to reward consistency over volume • Habit tracker with GitHub-style contribution heatmap • Wishlist with monthly budget: Earn coins from tasks, spend them on real things you want • Recurring tasks with advanced rules (interval, weekday, monthly, yearly) • Topics with sequential blocking: structure complex projects step-by-step • Multi-channel notifications: Web Push, Email, ntfy, Pushover, Telegram, Webhooks • Two-factor authentication (TOTP + Passkeys/WebAuthn) • Calendar feed (iCal) for syncing with any calendar app • Full REST API with OpenAPI spec • PWA-installable on mobile and desktop • 5 languages: German, English, French, Spanish, Dutch • Self-hosted via Docker — your data stays on your server
Built with Next.js, PostgreSQL, and Drizzle ORM. GDPR-ready, fully open source under MIT.
