Very slim compared to other editors. Useful for casual clip editing and some light video editing if the product is intended to be simple

Free version is very limited, but if you're willing to pay, it is one of the best consumer editors money can buy.

It is relatively easy to use and has a nice GUI. It may not be as extensive and powerful as Kdenlive, but you can do a the most usual video editing with it, and there are some useful filter effects and fadings. The render speed is good.

Is working as of 26/6/2019, not as complete as kdenlive or shotcut (the other ones i've tried) but also simpler to use.

This alternative is disputed. Avidemux is still a legitimate alternative to Kdenlive, but it might have issues that some users think are important.

One is muxing software, the other is editing software.

While Avidemux is not nearly as robust & feature-full as Kdenlive, it is still a video editing software & does much more than just mux.

It's very well made despite being in alpha. Olive seems very promising even at the start, and may eventually become better than Kdenlive. Only time will tell, though.
