Cinelerra-gg is the best open source video editing program around in my opinion. It needs some effort to learn how to use it, but it is worth and the possibilities are amazing.
This is an AMAZING program. I am amazed that this program is free! And to Arron, you obviously do not know what you're doing. and also, all video editors are different.
This has a lot of nice features and effects, but it gets very confusing even if you know what you are doing. If you are wanting to do quick editing on a video, then this is not a good program for you. I use Avidemux for my quick editing.
