What is ItsPaint?
ItsPaint is a native macOS paint and image editor. It opens a blank canvas at any size, pastes one image on top of another, crops, and marks up screenshots with auto-numbered step badges and pixelate for anything that should not be shared.
11 tools, 15 shapes, real transparency with a checkerboard, and 9 export formats including PNG, HEIC, AVIF, PDF and ICO. Documents save in an open .itspaint package that is a lossless PNG plus JSON, so nothing is locked in.
Written in Swift with no third-party dependencies, universal for Apple silicon and Intel, notarised, 2.9 MB. Free with no account, no trial and no telemetry, and it requests no network entitlement at all.
