Sorts Desktop nicely into categories automatically with default set up... Safe.. if you delete the box, file just placed on desktop, or stays in folder for folder portal method. Settings tend to get lost -consider before time getting fancy. To backup, one method is copy Data Folder in your Local file. If needed, shut program and paste copied Data folder to current Data folder. If private box is formed w/o intending, create password to get item out.. no biggie. There's Google in the Privacy...

There's Google in the Privacy details. If box gets above upper screen border & tough to close, click "create a box" to fix. Folder Portals can unlink ..are easier to redo vs boxes, and again, originals are safe. Another similar program that does have export-to-backup feature.. SideSlide, is cool, but not as easy to adapt to, and not directly on the desktop. Using this type of sorting/arranging is one way of grouping types of programs/files. Other possibly more stable ways are tagging (I'm trying TaggedFrog) or Repathing programs, registries and all, under Folder Types ..this can be tried w/programs like the one called "FolderMove". 9/17/23 noticed that using the Search option interfered w/my other programs (F3 bar showed up when unwanted) and I didn't know it was ITop causing it. 3/2024 Installed new update
I've been searching forever for anything like this! Considering how straightforward it can seem, it has significantly enhanced my productivity because I can now arrange the files for each project I'm working on and maintain them in the same place even when switching between screen resolutions.
